Palm Beach irrigation permit investigated over potential conflict

A controversial golf course proposed for Palm Beach, Fla., has become more tenuous as officials investigate a report the regulator who endorsed a million-gallon-a-day irrigation permit for the project lives in a house with the project's consultant. The two men involved, who have homes with their wives in other parts of the state, say the room rental was out of convenience and there is no conflict of interest.
