Discovery debunks previous beliefs on heart stem cells

Experiments conducted on frogs revealed that, contrary to previous beliefs, not all heart stem cells are produced through the same universal signal. The study shows how stem cells differentiate to form the heart and provides information that may help in mending heart muscle after a heart attack, one of the researchers said.
