Groups ask FCC to stop carriers from blocking texts

Several public-advocacy groups called Monday for the FCC to crack down on mobile carriers that block text messages. But Verizon and other companies have steadfastly contended that there's no need for FCC intervention and that users would be flooded with spam if they didn't block some messages.
