Advanced medical equipment manufacturers eye Vietnam market

Advanced medical equipment providers, including Philips Healthcare, recognize the need to introduce high technology in Vietnam, which has one of the world's highest cancer rates. Health officials say about 30,000 Vietnamese patients annually travel abroad to seek treatments that are not locally available. Among the health ministry's plans is to set up a PET/CT scanner in various parts of the country.
