Buffett bets $230 million on nontoxic car from China

Warren Buffett doesn't usually invest in technologies he doesn't understand, but he thinks BYD, a Chinese company that makes rechargeable batteries and phones, will become the world leader in electric cars. BYD's founder, Wang Chuan-Fu, "is a combination of Thomas Edison and Jack Welch," a Buffett associate says. His cars are so green that he'll drink his own battery fluid.
