CompTIA study: IT security spending to increase in '09

Despite the global economic slowdown, 40% of companies said they would spend more on IT security technologies this year, 32% will increase spending on security training and 33% plan to increase funding of security-related processes, according to a new study from CompTIA. The study of more than 1,500 companies in the U.S., Canada, India, China and the U.K. went on to say that there is good reason to bulk up security spending: Computer breaches also are on the increase.
