Credit Agricole's brokerage arm plans push into U.S.

Jonathan Slone, CEO of CLSA, Credit Agricole's Asia-focused brokerage division, said he plans to hire as many as 30 analysts as the firm sets up its U.S. presence. Mike Mayo, a widely known banking analyst, recently joined CLSA after working at Deutsche Bank. The push came from thoughts at CLSA that investors will demand more international and more independent research.
