Expert: Ethanol blends eventually will exceed 10%

Government officials soon will open the possibility of increasing the level of ethanol in gasoline to public comment, Renewable Fuels Association President Bob Dinneen said this week. Ethanol manufacturers have requested a boost in the maximum blend level for ethanol in gasoline to as much as 15%. "I absolutely believe that when all the science is in, the efficacy of using greater-than-10% blends will be validated," Dinneen said.
