Service aims to help online publishers charge for access

Journalism Online L.L.C. is a startup formed to help newspaper and magazine publishers switch to a paid model for users to access their content online, including an "all you can read" subscription option that would cover more than one site. Three well-known media business figures are backing the company: Court TV and American Lawyer magazine creator Steven Brill; former Wall Street Journal publisher L. Gordon Crovitz; and Leo Hindery Jr., head of private equity firm InterMedia Partners.
