401(k)s begin to rebound

While 401(k) retirement-account assets remain about 8% below their level two years ago, things are improving as the economy begins to strengthen and participants continue to contribute. "The big story for 401(k) plan participants is that if they stayed the course, they are now in good shape," said Dean Kohmann, vice president of Schwab's 401(k) Services.
