Feds release environmental report for TransCanada pipeline project

The construction and operation of TransCanada's Keystone XL oil pipeline would only have minimal effects on the environment, according to a report by the State Department. The pipeline aims to transport crude oil from tar sands in Alberta to refineries in Oklahoma and Texas. A spokesman for the TransCanada said the company was "pleased" with the report's findings.
