Kentucky castle reborn as a luxury inn

He had to slash rates just a bit -- from $1,000 a night down to $375 to $600 a night -- but the owner of a landmark castle in Lexington, Ky., is making money off of the property 18 months after it was turned into a luxury inn. The owner, Miami lawyer Tom Post, bought the property for $1.8 million in 2003 and had to rebuild it after a fire destroyed the building a year later. The property is now a 50-room hotel that includes a library, sitting room, pool, tennis courts, dining room and an organic garden where vegetables and herbs are used in the kitchen.
