Middlebury College to develop online language program

Vermont's Middlebury College, known as a premier foreign language school, has teamed up with the company K12 Inc. to create online language programs for pre-college students. The venture -- which the college will invest $4 million toward and have a 40% stake in -- will be called Middlebury Interactive Languages. The college's president said courses will cost about $100 and the goal is to boost foreign language learning among American students.
