Pimco launches its first actively managed stock fund

Making its first move outside the fixed-income business, Pacific Income Management brought to the market its first actively managed mutual fund. Pimco said it launched the PIMCO EqS Pathfinder Fund as part of a long-term strategy to broaden its range of products. Former Franklin Resources managers Anne Gudefin and Charles Lahr will run the fund. The two are known for their "deep-value" approach to stock picking.
