Senators introduce bill banning carry-on luggage fees

Sens. Benjamin Cardin, D-Md., and Mary Landrieu, D-La., have introduced legislation that would prohibit airlines from charging passengers for their carry-on bags. The move comes a week after Spirit Airlines announced such a fee. "Only one airline has announced plans to charge for carry- on item fees, but we cannot allow these floodgates to open," Landrieu said.
