Students test hands-on skills with invention project

Students at a Kentucky middle school spent three months working on projects that took them step-by-step through a process to create their own inventions, and the school recently held its annual Invention Convention to spotlight their efforts. "We wanted to challenge and push the kids and get them interested in reading, writing, science and math," said a science teacher who helped coordinate the event.
