Vets find more pets infested with ticks

The warm weather is triggering an increase in the number of household pets infested with ticks, according to a veterinarian with the Oakview Veterinary Medical Center in Plover, Wis. The vet hospital advises owners to have their pets vaccinated for Lyme disease and to use topical treatments to avoid the risk of tick-borne-disease infection.
