Views on air travel

A recent USA TODAY/Gallup Poll showed that 76% of fliers are unhappy with airline fees -- and that survey was conducted before Spirit rolled out its fee for carry-on bags. It's a sore subject for many, but Ben Baldanza, president and CEO of Spirit Airlines, defends his decision, noting "Spirit is all about giving customers options to choose what they want to pay for, without subsidizing the choices of others."
