Amtrak: Surface transportation bill should meet rail priorities

The country's next surface transportation program should meet five priorities, according to Amtrak. They include supplying ongoing funding for intercity and high-speed rail; establishing a national investment strategy, and addressing the industry's liability and insurance concerns. Amtrak rail services should be a key part of a multi-modal surfance transportation bill, the railroad says.
