Poll: Many patients with diabetes are uneducated about hypoglycemia

An online survey of 2,530 adults with type 2 diabetes found that many of them did not know hypoglycemia risks, with 27% not knowing that skipping meals is one of its major causes and 35% are unaware that certain medications might aggravate the condition. Although 52% of respondents said they were worried about suffering hypoglycemia, at least 17% didn't know that dizziness and shakiness were among its major symptoms, researchers found.
