Structural problems require replacing roof of N.J. community center

Structural issues with the roof of the Crest Pier in Wildwood Crest, N.J., have led the Borough Commission to replace the facility's roof. The Borough's engineer said the replacement is needed because the current roof was poorly installed using cheap asphalt shingles and that other inferior materials and construction methods were used. The facility's roof replacement could carry a $1.4 million price tag.
