USDA proposes to cut back on potatoes in school meals

The Department of Agriculture proposed blacklisting potatoes from school breakfasts and limiting starchy vegetable offerings in school lunches as part of its anti-obesity efforts. Potato products have already been removed from the Women, Infants and Children program.
