Family therapy improves reproductive health of girls with anorexia

Sixty-eight percent of 11- to 20-year-olds with anorexia reported that their normal menstrual cycles returned following one year of family-based treatment sessions, according to a study in the Journal of Eating Disorders. The findings showed that the return of their cycles was linked to the percentage of weight they gained during the program.
