Foursquare to sell its data to digital shops

Foursquare is offering digital agencies a service that will exploit its location check-in data to improve targeted ads via third-party exchanges or networks. Foursquare took in just $2 million through ad products within its application in 2012. "How lucrative the new ad product will be depends upon how valuable agencies and brands view Foursquare's data," writes John McDermott.
