Neb. city drops plan to participate in flooding lawsuit against feds

South Sioux City, Neb., has decided to drop its plan to be part of a class action lawsuit against Army Corps of Engineers over Missouri River flooding in 2011. Suing the federal government might cause payments from the Federal Emergency Management Agency to be delayed, Mayor Bill McLarty says. "We have too much invested in order to wait six years to get a payment," McLarty said.
