Pa. city council lacks votes to overturn sick-leave veto

Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter's veto of a bill to require some employers to provide paid sick leave will stand after the City Council failed to get 12 votes to override the veto. The mayor and business leaders oppose the bill because they say it would harm businesses, while councilors who support it say it would prevent the spread of illness.
