Starbucks gives brands ad space on Wi-Fi connection page

Starbucks is partnering with Boingo Wireless to give third-party advertisers the ability to post ads on its Wi-Fi connection page, with users seeing banner ads or video interstitials before accessing the Web. The program could later be expanded to allow targeting based on users' registered accounts or their mobile-application purchases.
