Colo. district to increase hiring of immigrant teachers

Denver Public Schools in Colorado plans to increase its efforts to hire teachers who came to the U.S. illegally as children but are now eligible to stay and work under the national Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals policy. District Superintendent Tom Boasberg said the aim is to find top instructors, but some say the district could face backlash from others looking for teaching jobs and veteran teachers.
