Greenpeace approves P&G's pledge on palm-oil supply chain

Procter & Gamble will be tracing its palm oil and palm kernel oil to supplier mills by Dec. 31, 2015, according to this article. By 2020, it will require its palm-oil suppliers to "demonstrate how they will ensure no deforestation in the supply chain for their mills." The company's announcement was commended by Greenpeace, the environmental advocacy organization that had pressured P&G to ensure its palm-oil supplies don't contribute to clear-cutting rainforests.
