Unilever offers mobile music line to rural Indians

Hindustan Unilever is offering free Bollywood music for mobile phones in two Indian states as a way of promoting products such as Lifebuoy soap and Fair & Lovely cream among villagers. About 8 million people have taken advantage of the music service, which users can access by calling a number that in turn generates 15 minutes of music punctuated by Unilever ads.
