Dulles airport rail project to be privatized

Virginia officials have gotten the green light to turn over the nation's third most expensive rail proposal to a private partnership comprised of Bechtel and Washington Group International. The $4 billion project would link Dulles International Airport with Washington, D.C.'s Metrorail transit system. Metro officials gave their approval yesterday, though some expressed concerns about whether privatization will save money.
