New FAA rules draw attention to icing hazards on small jets

The FAA on Monday issued new rules requiring pilots and airlines to take special precautions flying some commuter and business jets in winter weather. Buildup of frost, ice or slush on some surfaces of the wings on Bombardier's Canadair regional jets may cause loss of control during or immediately after takeoff, the FAA said.
