Occupancy rates took off while planes were grounded at Heathrow

Problems at London's Heathrow Airport's new Terminal 5 may have been a headache for travelers, but they proved to be a boon for local hotels. With 430 flights canceled during the terminal's first week of operation in March, hotel occupancy rates around the airport hit a five-month high, according to STR Global research group.
