Database to help contractor build with smaller carbon footprints

A database developed by California contractor Webcor Builders and Climate Earth will measure the carbon emissions in construction materials and their supply chains. Climate Earth will track the emissions associated with materials, and Webcor will use the information to build greener structures. The vice president of Climate Earth said the database would contribute "reliable metrics to account for direct and indirect sources of greenhouse gas emissions during a building's design and construction phases."
