Interactive television helps North Dakota teacher reach more students

Valerie Aho, a North Dakota teacher of family and consumer science, is teaching sewing to eighth-graders 35 miles away, thanks to an interactive television network and on-site volunteers. The network is helping districts better deal with teacher shortages, but the distance sometimes makes hands-on subjects more difficult, Aho says.
