NBCT wants superintendent to have the right focus

A National Board Certified Teacher who participated in a panel discussing the traits desired in the next superintendent of Brevard County, Fla., schools says it is important that the person who gets the job focuses on all students, not just the best or the ones who need the most help. "We want to make sure we don't let the middle-of-the-road students fall through the cracks because they aren't excelling, they aren't struggling," said Laird Parsons, an elementary-school teacher.
