You should take thing slowly, however, picking your technical crew carefully, planning your site's features in detail, and considering bringing in an outside consultant to iron out creases in your business model. "Keep in mind that building a social Web site is about two important factors -- a clear business model and the applications used to help you grow that business," Shaheen writes.
