EU's Rehn supports creating emergency fund for member nations

Olli Rehn, economy commissioner for the EU, said an emergency fund is needed to help countries that face debt troubles, such as those seen in Greece. Rehn also said Portugal should consider tougher austerity plans. He said the European Commission is "reflecting" on the idea of a crisis fund but is not ready to make official proposals.
