Louisiana bridge work challenged by unruly river

A Louisiana design-build bridge project faces special challenges, including Mississippi River levels that have varied more than 40 feet. Crews are working on the longest cable-stayed bridge in North America in St. Francisville, La. Scheduled for completion in 2011, bridge work has been challenged by the erratic river, which has periodically flooded and shut down work.
