Obama could seek bridge-builder for Supreme Court

Solicitor General Elena Kagan's reputation as a consensus-builder could boost her chances as President Barack Obama seeks a new Supreme Court justice, experts say. In her time as dean of Harvard Law, Kagan managed to defuse partisan tensions and win over conservative associates, colleagues say. "If you are able to get along with the Harvard faculty, you can probably tame a den of lions," says one former classmate.
