Portals still draw display dollars

While social media garners buzz, Web portals are still major earners when it comes to online display advertising. Newcomer YouTube, along with the fast-changing AOL, are helping drive change in the sector. A study by Broadpoint AmTech found YouTube is drawing the most brand advertisers, while 23% of ads on AOL were rich-media ads in nonstandard formats.
