TSA will create "action plan" to improve Newark airport security

The Transportation Security Administration's local director in Newark, N.J., has created a group of managers who will develop an "action plan" aimed at addressing security concerns at Newark Liberty Airport. A recent report analyzing security at the airport recommended hiring an additional 200 TSA screeners. The TSA said it is addressing concerns raised in the report. "Decisions have been made that will foster improved communications, collaboration, consistency, discipline, accountability, staffing and training," the agency said.
