Glucose levels do not improve with isomaltulose intake

Substituting isomaltulose for sucrose for 12 weeks did not improve glycemic control in type 2 diabetes patients, according to a study in Diabetes Care. However, patients who were on isomaltulose attained lower triglyceride levels than those who received sucrose, researchers noted.
