Preschoolers have negative perceptions of overweight children

Canadian researchers presented four stories to 41 preschool children and found that almost 44% chose the mean character in all of the stories as the one that was overweight. They noted that only about 2% considered the overweight figure as the nice character in all of the stories. The findings appear in the Journal of Early Childhood Research.
