Report finds increase in childhood vaccination rates in Connecticut

Influenza vaccination rates in children aged 6 months to 4 years in Connecticut increased from 54% in 2009-2010 to 85% in 2010-2011, according to a study presented at the International Conference on Emerging Infectious Diseases. Researchers noted that flu rates also dropped in this age group after the implementation of a 2011 influenza vaccination rule for children enrolled in day care.
