There's no single mold for a successful leader

Most people might envision a man when they think of a business leader, but many traits commonly associated with women -- consensus building, collaboration and emotional intelligence -- are also characteristics of strong leaders. Jim Muzyka, an executive and general manager of Xerox Services in Toronto, says sometimes the stereotype is in the position and not the gender. For example, many people associate the CEO or chief operating officer to be male.
