Data: Employees opt for lower-priced plan offered by private exchange

Data compiled in March by Aon Hewitt on employees' health-plan enrollment in its new private health-insurance exchange indicate that in 2013, 42% have chosen a less expensive plan, with fewer benefits, compared with the plan they chose in 2012. Among employees, 39% have enrolled in a consumer-driven health plan, compared with 12% last year.
