How longer school days improved math performance in pilot program

Schools in three major cities that took part in a pilot project that added three hours to the school day reported better math scores, attendance and student attitudes after the first year of operation, compared with students attending schools with traditional schedules. Participating schools were part of the ExpandED pilot project of The After-School Corporation.
