Supreme Court rejects Glaxo's appeal in Avandia case

The U.S. Supreme Court allowed a lower-court ruling to stand that lets insurers collect double damages from drugmakers under Medicare Advantage plans. GlaxoSmithKline had argued that the Medicare Advantage program does not allow insurers administering plans to press liability cases.
