World Bank sees spreading benefit from Japan's easing

South Korea is likely to feel competitive pressures but major suppliers, such as the Philippines and Thailand, may benefit from Japan's deflation-fighting policies, the World Bank estimates. "If Japan manages to escape its deflation and rekindle growth ... all developing economies in the region would benefit through higher exports," the bank said in a report.
